The machine for soil preparation or clearing the ground between vines or fruit trees has four tool carriers (1, 1') which can be pivoted into several working positions. A central beam (3) carries four side beams (4), each of which carries a front (1) and rear (1') tool carrier. The side beams are each connected to the central beam by a deformable parallelogram system (5, 6, 7) operated, e.g. by a hydraulic system (8, 9a, 9b, 10).
