An aqueous suspension is formed of a polyol and aluminum compound mixture. A novel aqueous suspension is formed from a mixture of one or more polyols and one or more aluminum compounds selected from salts and oxides, the aluminum compound concentration being -0.22 moles aluminum per 100 g suspension and the pH being } 5. An Independent claim is also included for an aluminum compound-based setting accelerator which has a setting time of } 6 min.
