An instrument giving reminder about two different types of medication to be taken at different times, comprises memory, microprocessor and display screen. The instrument consists of a housing (1) with a window (3) for a display screen (4) and containing a clock, a memory unit for storing data, related to the times two different types of medication have to be taken, and a microprocessor. The programme is set by means of two or more buttons (6, 7, 8) on the outside of the housing, either by the patient, medical practitioner or pharmacist, and once this is done the display screen gives the relevant information about which medication is to be taken on a given day. The screen is in three sections (4a, 4b, 4c), with the middle one displaying the current day's date and the two outer ones which of the two medications has to be taken.
