In a method for the continuous dyeing of yarn by feeding a treatment liquor into a system comprising atomizer nozzle(s), evacuation chamber and false air twisting device, the viscosity of the treatment liquor is adjusted to produce yarn with a speckled color effect. A method for the continuous dyeing of yarn involves: (a) preparing a treatment bath with a given viscosity selected to give yarn with a speckled color effect and (b) feeding this liquid into a system comprising (in the machine direction) at least one atomizer nozzle, an evacuation chamber to remove the air and the unabsorbed dye liquor and a false air twisting device.
