The stabiliser (1) consists of a strut (3) with a wheel (3b) on the end of its arm (3a), located on each side of a two-wheeled vehicle and pivoted to a supporting frame (4). Each strut is equipped with a drive mechanism connected to a speed indicator and lowers the wheel to the ground when the vehicle's speed drops below a certain level, raising it again as the speed increases. The drive is in the form of an electrically driven power cylinder (9) connected to the strut by a lever (6) and suspension unit (5).
