A method for preparing a masterbatch (M) based on a polymer and mineral particles, especially precipitated silica, by mixing a polymer dissolved in a solvent and the mineral particles suspended in an organic solvent. Independent claims are also included for: (i) the mas natural rubber, polymers deriving from aliphatic or aromatic monomers, terbatch (M); (ii) use of masterbatch (M) in the vulcanization of rubber; (iii) articles containing masterbatch (M); and (iv) rubber vulcanized using masterbatch (M) especially when used in a tire.
