The display film consists of at least one dielectric layer (2) with a first face and an electrically-charged second face, with a screen layer (3) acting as a barrier to the electric field on at least the first face of the dielectric layer. The screen layer is of metal or a transparent and conducting metal oxide or polymer, and the second face of the dielectric layer can be covered by a second dielectric layer (4) and screen (5).
