The unblocking cock consists of a T-piece with an inlet (3) and outlet (4) for the waste water and a side branch (1) connected to the mains water supply. The cock has an inner ball (2) shaped to direct the water flow and turned by a lever (5). If the outlet gets blocked the ball is turned to direct a flow of mains water through it while preventing waste water from entering the inlet.
