An image forming apparatus comprising the following. That is, four photosensitive drums provided in a line along the transport path of a recording sheet, four transfer rollers respectively provided in positions opposite to the photosensitive drums, via the transport path. Here, when voltages are applied to the transfer rollers, each of them generates an electric field for transferring a toner image formed on the surface of the corresponding photosensitive drum onto the recording sheet. A constant voltage power supply, and a voltage distributing circuit by which an outputted voltage as it is from the constant voltage power supply is applied to one of the transfer rollers, while different voltages are applied to the remaining three transfer rollers by dividing the outputted voltage by means of three zener diodes.
