PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a block for a retaining wall in which strong resistance force is produced to a horizontal shearing force and a construction method of the retaining wall using the same block for the retaining wall. ;SOLUTION: On the upper surface of a retaining wall 2, an upper joint part forming recessed part of a downward recessed shape is formed, while on the other hand, on the lower surface of the retaining wall 2, a lower joint part forming recessed part of an upward projected shape is formed, and these upper and lower joint part forming recessed parts are mutually communicated through a reinforcement penetrating hole. The lower joint part forming recessed parts of a retaining block A1 positioned on the stacked upper step are vertically coincident with the upper joint part forming recessed parts of a retaining block A2 positioned on the lower step to form joint forming spaces.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
