PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a difference from occurring between validity of an actual public key certificate and a lapsed certificate list, and also to prevent a user from receiving an unnecessary lapsed certificate. ;SOLUTION: This method comprises an application accepting means 10 for extracting a lapsed certificate list generation specifying condition from a lapsed certificate list referring application from a user, a lapsed certificate retrieval means 12 for retrieving the lapsed certificate conforming to the specified condition from a certificate database holding the public key certificate based on the extracted lapsed certificate list generation specifying condition, and describing the retrieval result in a lapsed certificate storage table, and a lapsed certificate list generation list generation means 14 for generating a lapsed certificate list by editing the lapsed certificate storage table.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
