PURPOSE: To perform a load test by fitting jacks to the tip section and pile head of a test pile respectively, and connecting the test pile and surrounding reaction piles via a load beam so that the test pile can be lifted and extended to exert the peripheral friction force to the maximum. ;CONSTITUTION: Jacks 11, 12 are fitted to the tip section and head section of a test pile 10 respectively, and pressure is controlled for unloading and the like. The jack load of the jack 12 is measured by a load cell 19, and the upward displacement and the downward displacement of the head section and bottom section of the jack 12 are measured by displacement gauges. When the jack 11 is pressurized, the tip of the test pile 10 is lifted while the peripheral friction force on the jack 11 serves as reaction force, and the relationship between the tip load and settlement of the test pile 10 is obtained from the displacement of the bottom section of the jack 11 and the jack load.
