PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a survivor memory with a semiconductor circuit and to minimize the delay in output data by constituting the survivor memory only by repeatedly linking simple basic structure. ;SOLUTION: The survivor memory is provided with a route existence information generating part 41 and units 421-42D. The generating part 41 generates branch route existence information, showing the respective states of trellis diagram and the presence/absence of a branch route between the next corresponding state by using a determination vector to be received. This branch route existence information is inputted to a route erase signal generator 43 and a route existence information stocker 44 of the unit 421. Then, the generated branch route existence information is supplied to the next unit. Thus, the branch route existence information is generated by using a state with the determination vector of that state, only the determination vector is stored, and route erasing operation can be performed, while using the stored determination vector.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
