PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash with a shielding device excellent in operability and design in appearance, enabling even a short person to open a shielding body such as a lattice provided on the outdoor side, without hindrance with simple operation at the time of emergency escape due to a fire or the like while impeding opening of the shielding body from the outdoor side, and usually making an operating part presentably storable in the sash. ;SOLUTION: An operating rod 7 for release operation of a locked state of a shielding body 5 locked by lock mechanism by push-in operation from a nearly horizontal direction on the indoor side is enclosed in a hollow arm 6 of specified length rotatably fitted to the indoor side of a sash vertical frame 2d, and energized to protrude from the tip part of an arm 6. The arm 6 and operating rod 7 are enclosed upright inside a storage recessed part 2e provided at the sash vertical frame 2d. A handle 7a provided at the tip of the operating rod 7 energized to protrude is locked to an engaging part 2f provided at the upper end of the storage recessed part 2e, and held, and an intermediate part of the arm 6 is provided with a secondary handle 7b for imparting stroke enough to release an engaged state between the handle 7a and the engaging part 2f.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
