PURPOSE:To make it possible to repair and reinforce a steel girder bridge without increasing any additional load to the steel girders and enhance workability by constituting a concrete floor slab main body on an existing steel girder with a large number of precast concrete high strength low weight concrete floor slab units, and constituting a floor slab located near an expansion joint on the end of the steel girder, CONSTITUTION:The elevation of an upper flange of an existing steel girder 1 is measured and an elevation adjustment material 5, whose shape i specifically cut, is fixed with a part of the upper flange, thereby making an elevation adjustment. Then, a large number of precast concrete high strength low weight concrete floor slab units 2 fabricated in a shop or near a manufacturing yard are installed side by side, on the elevation adjusted steel girder 2. During this installation work, joints 21 between the floor slab units 2 are preliminarily coated with a bonding agent where a specified amount of prestress is introduced by way of a PC steel material, thereby creating one piece structure. Then, cast-in-place concrete floor slabs 3a and precast concrete ordinary concrete slab units 3b and 3c are attached near the expansion joint 4, thereby integrating with the steel girder 1.
