PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to securely detect existing or not of a prize winning game ball, by temporarily retaining a game ball getting into a ball receiving port on a switching piece, simultaneously actuating a retention timer by an electric signal from a retaining ball detection sensor, and opening the switching piece by a solenoid after lasting a prescribed time set by the retention timer. ;SOLUTION: When a game ball gets into a ball receiving port 21 and an electric signal is outputted from a passing ball detection sensor 22, a passing timer in CPU is actuated and a variation display of a pattern variation display device is actuated. The ball getting into the ball receiving port 21 flows down on a guide tube 23 and is retained on a head part 24a of a switching piece 24 and, when an electric signal is outputted from a retention ball detection sensor 25 with in a time set by the passing timer, the actuation of the passing timer is stopped and a retention timer in CPU is actuated.
