PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable removing a deteriorated layer by installing a mechanism for shaving the surface of a primary transfer roller, and to maintain the appropriate critical surface tension of the primary transfer roller surface required at primary and secondary transfer processes. ;SOLUTION: As for the indirect transfer system transfer/fixing device for the electrophotographic image forming device, the device is provided with a transfer roller for primarily transferring the image on the photoreceptor and a fixing roller 9 for secondarily transferring the image to the paper, simultaneously, fixing the image, as a mechanism for transferring/fixing the toner image on the photoreceptor to the paper, and the device is provided with a cleaning roller for removing ink which is not transferred and then remains on the transfer roller, and a cleaning roller for slightly shaving the deteriorated surface of the transfer roller so as to renew the surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
