Immunostimulation mediated by genetically modified dendritic cells

Compositions and methods useful for stimulating an immune response against one or more disease associated antigens by genetically modifying dentritic cells in vivo or ex vivo are provided. These compositions and methods allow for administration of lower dosages of gene delivery vehicles in order to achieve levels of immune stimulation comparable to those obtainable by conventional methods. Alternatively, administration of conventional dosages of gene delivery vehicles will enhance the resultant immune response.
