PURPOSE: To obtain the easily usable gypsum solution constant in its purity and concentration and useful as an auxiliary for press-dehydrating beet pulp in a high recovery rate by employing a lime milk easily available in a beet sugar-producing factory and a sulfuric acid waste solution regenerated with a cation exchange resin. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for preparing the gypsum solution used as an auxiliary for press-dehydrating the beet pulp is characterized by mixing a lime milk with a sulfuric acid waste solution regenerated with a cation exchange resin and having a sulfuric acid concentration of 0.5-0.6N and an ash content of ≤1.7g CaO/dl, feeding the obtained gypsum solution into a precipitation tank having a cone-shaped lower part from upward, feeding washing water from the lower part of the precipitation tank to give an upflow rate enabling the precipitation of most gypsum particles, and thus bringing the gypsum solution into contact with the washing water to wash and concentrate the gypsum particles.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
