PURPOSE: To widely use the cast iron, e.g. in the field of highly developed chemical industry by incorporating specific weight percentages of C, Cr, Ni, etc., into iron and crystallizing covalent Fe-Cr carbides in its structure. ;CONSTITUTION: The high grade high carbon cementite alloy cast iron has a composition where 0.6-6.5%, by weight, C, ≤3.0% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, ≤0.15% P, ≤0.05% S, 13-30% Cr, and 4-12% Ni are incorporated as essential components into iron as a principal component. Simultaneously, Fe-Cr carbides mainly of covalent bond are crystallized in the structure. Further, one or more additives selected from ≤15% Mo, ≤5% Ti, ≤2% B, and ≤7% of two or more alloying elements among Cu, V, Co, and W are mixed with the alloying elements.
