AGENT FOR PRETREATING CUT FLOWER, AND METHOD FOR PRETREATING CUT FLOWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for pretreating a cut flower, not harmful to a human body and the environment, but useful for application to the cut flower after the harvest and before the shipping, and capable of enabling the cut flower to be transported for a long period, and further to provide a method for pretreating the cut flower.;SOLUTION: This agent for pretreating the cut flower to be applied to the cut flower before the shipping contains a laurate of sucrose and an organic acid. When the agent for pretreating the flower is applied to the cut flower after the harvest and before the shipping, freshness can be kept for a long period, a long transporting period is enabled, and the drawing water after the transportation is improved. Especially, the agent is suitable for the cut flower the leaf of which wilts faster than the flower to lose the commercial value as the whole, e.g. mum, lily and sea lavender.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
