METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CONCENTRATION OF SIZING LIQUID FOR SIZING MACHINE AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily control the concentration of a sizing liquid in a sizing tank to a target concentration.;SOLUTION: The pickup ratio of water picked up from a water reservoir 11 by a warp T is measured by a controller 28 based on the information transmitted from a flow meter 37 to measure the quantity of water supplied from a water source 13 to an auxiliary tank 12. Separately, the pickup ratio of the sizing liquid picked up from a sizing tank 17 by the warp T is measured by the controller 28 based on the information transmitted from a level sensor 27 to detect the level of the sizing liquid in the sizing liquid tank 24. The controller 28 estimates the concentration of the sizing liquid based on the water pickup ratio and the sizing liquid pickup ratio and controls the supply of the sizing liquid from the auxiliary supply source 33 of the sizing liquid and water from a water supply source 34 so as to adjust the estimated concentration of the sizing liquid close to the target concentration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
