PURPOSE:To provide an air quality monitoring device which can accurately detect an air quality for a long period of time by always keeping the characteristics of a gas sensor to be used for an air quality detecting means under a referential condition. CONSTITUTION:A gas which adsorbs on a gas sensor 1 is decomposed oxidatively to purify the gas by generating ozone by an ozone generating means 3 and bringing the ozone into contact with the gas sensor 1. Also, by an ozone detecting means 5 and ozone generation-control means 4, the generated quantity of ozone can be always controlled at a specified value. By his reason, the characteristics of the gas sensor 1 can always be kept under a specified referential condition, and an air quality can be accurately monitored for a long period of time.
