PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus for the search of seismic waves, based on seismic reflection method, for reducing the load on the operators. SOLUTION: A seismic wave generating apparatus for use as a focus for the search of seismic waves, based on seismic reflection method, comprises a striking member 1, having a grounding face for installation on the surface of the ground and a striking device 2, fixed to the striking member for imparting a striking force to the striking member by means of compressed air and using the impact of the piston provided therein.
