PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for industrially advantageously producing a 3,4-disubstituted butene-1 or 1,4-disubstituted butene-2.;SOLUTION: In the case of a 1,4-disubstituted butene-2, the 1,4-disubstituted butene-2 is obtained by (1) acyloxylation of butadiene in the presence of a carboxylic acid and oxygen, (2) separating a mixture composed mainly of a 3,4-disubstituted butene-1 by distillation from the reaction product obtained in the acyloxylation step, (3) isomerizing the mixture composed mainly of the 3,4-disubstituted butene-1 separated in the separation step to obtain the isomerization reaction product, containing the 1,4-disubstituted butene-2 as the main component as the corresponding isomerization reaction product, and (4) feeding the isomerization reaction product obtained in the isomerization reaction step into the separation step (2).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
