PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide area IP packet communication system with which the load to prepare an IP packet transfer table is removed from an IP packet transfer device and a wide area IP packet transfer device and these devices can concentrate on the transfer of IP packets. ;SOLUTION: The read IP addresses of radio terminal equipment 1 and LAN terminal equipment 3 are reported to a configuration managing device 8 by a radio base station 2 and a LAN terminal accommodating device 4, the configuration managing device 8 specifies the position information of the radio terminal equipment 1 and LAN terminal equipment 3 based on the IP addresses and an interface number inputted from the radio base station 2 and LAN terminal accommodating device 4, prepares a local IP packet transfer table 20 and wide area IP packet transfer table 21 based on this information and respectively sends these tables to an IP packet transfer device 6 and wide area IP packet transfer device 7 and these devices receive these tables from the configuration managing device 8 through a communication link and transfer IP packets while using these tables.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
