PURPOSE: To provide an automatic mounting device and automatic detaching device for piston masks capable of rapidly and easily masking pistons and removing the masks thereof. ;CONSTITUTION: The automatic mounting device 11 and the automatic detaching device 12 respectively has mask transfer mechanisms which hold the piston masks and move the masks to a mask mounting position 28 or move the masks from a mask detaching position 114, mask diameter expansion operating mechanism 15, 102 which expand the diameters of the openings of the mask existing in the mask mounting position 28 or the mask detaching position 114 or release the diameter expansion and pistons transfer mechanisms 16, 103 which supply and discharge the pistons to or from the mask mounting position 28 or the mask detaching position 114.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
