PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a copper concentrate by solidification, by which the treatment of the copper concentrate in a converter is made possible and also to obtain a solidified material of the copper concentrate. SOLUTION: The method for treating the copper concentrate by solidification comprises: steps (S2, S3) of subjecting the copper concentrate, which is previously regulated (S1) so that it has 45-65% copper content, 5-15% resin content and 5 mm maximum grain size, to compression molding into briquettes; and a step (S4) of charging the briquettes into the converter. The solidified material can be obtained by adding a binder to the copper concentrate and molding the copper concentrate into an almond shape having a length ranging from 25 to 45 mm and a width of 50 to 70% of the length under the following conditions: supporting pressure of roll by a briquetting machine, (140 to 170) kg/cm2; the number of revolutions of roll, 1-3 rpm.
