PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge beam/purlin facing member capable of applying an architectural design to the ridge beam and the purlin shown in the external appearance of a building and, at the same time, improving durability and water proofness.;SOLUTION: The ridge beam/purlin facing member 10 provided downward of an eaves soffit 13 by covering the ridge beam 12 projectively placed to the outside from an exterior wall surface 11 of the building is constituted of a right side coating body 20 and a left side coating body 21 divided into two parts in an L-shaped section forming a decoration coating box body 19 consisting of the bottom section 16 covered downward of the ridge beam 12, a pair of side sections 17 covered sideways and the front surface section 18 covered forward. The right side coating body 20 and the left side coating body 21 respectively have an L-shaped section by extending bent pieces 20d and 21d sideways. The bottom plate 22 and the front plate 23 are mounted on the left side coating body 21.
