PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a generation of a leak and to keep down the generation of discharge product by making electrifying potential of an image carrier to be uniform to a level where no abnormal image is generated.;SOLUTION: An electrifying roll 5 is installed so that an image formation effective range does not come into contact with a surface of a photosensitive body 1, the photosensitive body 1 is electrified by having voltage applied between the electrifying roll 5 and the photosensitive body 1 and the potential of a potential uniformalizing roll 3 is made to be a potential where discharge is not generated between the photosensitive body 1 and the roll 3. Thus, unevenness in electrifying of the surface of the photosensitive body 1 due to movement of charge can be uniformalized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
