PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polypropylene having extremely high melt flow rate and low xylene-soluble content.;SOLUTION: A Ziegler-Natta catalyst system containing an internal diether donor is used for the polymerization of propylene. The produced polypropylene has a melt flow rate of ≥300 g/10 min or thereabout, contains about ≤3.5% xylene-soluble component and is free from peroxide. The catalyst system may contain an internal donor of phthalate. The amount of the external donor can be decreased or eliminated by this invention without considerably increasing the xylene-soluble component.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
