PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device 4 for restraining the movement of coated optical fibers 38 and an optical fiber cable closure 1 by which slack parts of the coated optical fibers 38 are difficult to move.;SOLUTION: The device is provided with a movement restraining member 42 consisting of a gel or rubber material which is attached to a spacer exposure part 34a of a tape slot type optical fiber cable 2a, a clamp member 43 which clamps the movement restraining member 42 and a pressurizing member 44 which pressurizes the clamp member 43 in the direction of the cable diameter. The clamp member 43 is composed of a pair of half segmented members 43a which clamp the spacer 34 in the direction of the cable diameter, and a projected wall part 43c which projects inward in the direction of the cable diameter is formed at both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the cable in the inner peripheral surface of respective half segmented members 43a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
