PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that although conventionally an antigen analysis of epidemic gastroenteritis ileal obstruction caused by Norwalk virus(NV) as a pathogen is mainly carried out by RT-RCR or a method by using an antibody recognizing a capsid protein in a beculovirus system, the former takes time for a complex operation, and in the latter, the detection of the virus over the group is difficult because of the high specificity of the antibody, and to provide a method for ready and rapid detection regardless of the genogroup. SOLUTION: An antibody capable of recognizing viruses belonging to both genogroups I and II is formed by using a protein obtained by the expression in an Escherichia coli system as an antigen, and the antibody is used for solving the problem.
