PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optionally mold a considerably large pipe section which is out of standard pipes, and cannot be molded by a pair of die segment half bodies. SOLUTION: In this device for the manufacture of the thermoplastic pipe (68) which has the peculiar property on the lateral contour, die segment half bodies (4 and 5) which circulate by two units on a molding path (2) are provided. A bridge-form crane type carrying device (29) is provided for the circulation of the die segment half bodies. On a carrying bridge (34) over the molding path, two units of carrying carriages (44 and 45), which are movable in the lateral direction to the manufacturing direction while being confronted to each other, are provided. Then, a carrying arm (53) on the downstream side having holding devices (54) for respective die segment half bodies, which are attached to the carrying carriages (44 and 45), is provided. Stand by locations (77, 78 and 79) for auxiliary die segment half bodies (4a, 5a, 4b, 5b, 4c and 5c) are provided on the downstream side of the downstream end of the molding path. Then, carriages (81 and 82) which move by projecting from the moving path (85) of the carrying arm come closest to the molding path.
