PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel necessitating a protective layer on its surface, that is, a coated steel material having a high tenacity coating layer showing excellent impact resistance against an impact generated by embedding a steel pipe, hammering a steel pipe pile, rubble mound after the hammering work, floating substances such as ships and the like.;SOLUTION: A coated steel material having a high tenacity coating layer is obtained by laminating a 0.5 to 6 mm thick polyolefin or polyurethane anti-corrosive layer 2, a not less than 3 mm thick protective coated layer 3 made of an unsaturated polyester cured resin containing a glass fiber and a 0.3 to 2 mm thick surface protective layer 4 made of a resin-made long fiber and the unsaturated polyester cured resin in this order on a surface of a ground-treated steel material 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
