AGENT FOR REDUCING ELUTION OF HEXAVALENT CHROMIUM, AND CEMENT COMPOSITION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hexavalent chromium elution-reducing agent which is capable of reducing the amount of hexavalent chromium elution at a low cost, while considering the working environment of workers for performing solidification treatment of an object with a cement composition, by adding a small amount of the agent to the cement composition, without any reduction in compressive strength of the solidified object, and further, when used as a cement composition component for ground improvement or treatment of contaminated soil, industrial waste, shows excellent effectiveness in reducing hexavalent chromium elution from the resulting solidified object, and to provide such a cement composition using the elution-reducing agent.;SOLUTION: This hexavalent chromium elution-reducing agent contains an acetylene synthesis byproduct, or an acetylene synthesis byproduct and further a sulfur compound.
