PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polypropylene resin composition which has an improved foamability and can give a foam with a high closed cell content, and polypropylene resin composition particles which can be used as a raw material for preparing the above resin composition.;SOLUTION: The polypropylene resin composition particles comprise (A) 0.5-30 pts.wt. high-mol.-wt. polyethylene having an intrinsic viscosity [η] (at 135°C in tetralin) of 20-100 dl/g and (B) 70-99.5 pts.wt. polypropylene having an intrinsic viscosity [η] (at 135°C in tetralin) of 4.0-12 dl/g. At most 1% of the particles pass through a standard 200-mesh sieve; and at most 5% of the particles remain on a standard 20-mesh sieve. The modified polypropylene resin composition is prepared by melt kneading a mixture comprising 100 pts.wt. above resin particles and (C) 0.01-5 pts.wt. free radical initiator at 150-300°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
