PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold cathode field electron emission element having focus poles capable of surely having an electron collection effect on a plurality of field emission elements even with a simple structure.;SOLUTION: This cold cathode field emission element comprises (A) a support body 10, (B) a cathode electrode 11 formed on the support body 10 and extending in a first direction, (C) a gate electrode 13 disposed above the cathode electrode 11 and extending in a second direction, (D) a hole part 14A provided in the area of the gate electrode 13 overlapped with the cathode electrode 11, (E) an electron emission part 15 disposed at the bottom part of the hole part, and (F) a focus electrode 30.
