PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to measure the distribution states and the distribution ratios of supercooling water and an ice core by irradiating light, or an acoustic wave, or a electric wave by irradiating light, the acoustic wave, and the electric wave with a snowfall injection flow of the artificial snowfall machine and by utilizing a difference in a reflection ratio between supercooling water and the ice core, and a method to effect feedback control of operation of the artificial snowfall machine.;SOLUTION: Jet fluid (2) of the artificial snowfall machine (1) is irradiated with light from a light irradiation device (5).
