BIODEGRADABLE RESIN COMPOSITION, PACKAGING MATERIAL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING BIODEGRADABLE RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING ELASTIC MODULUS OF THE BIODEGRADABLE RESIN COMPOSITION
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition having improved elastic modulus.;SOLUTION: This resin is obtained by compounding polylactic acid as an aliphatic polyester resin with 5.0-20.0 wt.% natural mica, 0.5-5.0 wt.% aliphatic carboxylic acid amide as the organic nucleating agent and 0.1-2.0 wt.% carbodiimide compound as the hydrolysis suppressing agent for polylactic acid. As an example, 10 wt.% granulated mica powder having 40-50 μm particle diameter and obtained by granulating natural mica, 1 wt.% Carbodiright (R) and 1 wt.% ethylenebisstearic acid amide as the organic nucleating agent and compounded in polylactic acid (Tg: 60°C); thereby the storage elastic modulus of this resin at 70-140°C is much improved and, especially at about 100°C to about 120°C, is about 1×109.
