PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paging method for intercom mobile unit telephone sets in a communication system where a plurality of private branch exchange systems are connected by exclusive lines.;SOLUTION: In a paging method of intercom mobile unit telephone sets, the order of priority is given to the telephone number of a mobile telephone sets 3Ax traveling among a plurality of private branch exchange systems. One or a plurality of private branch exchange system numbers (1B, 1C, etc.), at a destination is registered at a private branch exchange system 1A where a mobile telephone set belongs to. Paging is made first by the private branch exchange system 1A when there is an arrival signal call at the mobile telephone set 3Ax from the arrival signal terminal of an exchange system 1A. The arrival signal call is transferred to another private branch exchange system 1B via an exclusive line 5a if there are no responses within specific time. The paging of the mobile telephone set 3Ax is made by the private branch exchange system 1B at the location concerned. A line is connected for calling via the exclusive line 5a if there is a response.
