PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly carry out toll payment on a toll road by determining the position of a toll road user by a determing circuit, according to a portable telephone using signal and displaying a used toll with the position of the user on a display part of this portable telephone on the side of a toll road control organization.;SOLUTION: An on-hook 61 of the portable telephone 60 is switched on and off for a specified period of time, immediately before entering the toll road and immediately before driving out of the toll road, and these are transmitted to the side of the toll road control organization 64. In the meantime, immediately prior to driving out of the toll road, this definite signal is transmitted to the side of the toll road control organization 64 by depressing a confirm button, for example, a 'sharp' sign button of the portable telephone 60, simultaneously with operating of the on-hook 61 of the portable telephone 60. The position of the toll road user is determined by the determing circuit 66 according to the portable telephone using signal on the side of the toll road control organization 64, and the used toll with the position of the user is displayed on the display part 67 of this portable telephone 60.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
