PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable maximum output point tracking method and a maximum output point tracking device for a DC power supply which can extract DC power as it is, using a low-cost circuit.;SOLUTION: The maximum output point tracking method for a DC power supply includes a power supply voltage measurement process; a power supply current measurement process; a power calculation process which obtains power by multiplying a measured voltage by a measured current; a charging process in which, while a voltage is raised and powerd is lowered, or while the voltage is lowered and the power is raised; a second capacitive device is connected in parallel with a first capacitive device; and a discharging process in which, while the voltage is lowered and the power is lowered or while the voltage is raised and the power is raised;, the second capacitive device is electrically disconnected from the first capacitive device and connected with an output terminal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
