PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for manufacturing the mirror curved surface of a mold for manufacturing a light guide plate capable of being used as a mold using an easily detachable mold core and having a curved surface good in the adhesion of a projected curved surface-like cavity surface with a metal thin plate. SOLUTION: The metal thin plate (2) of which the surface is finished as a mirror surface is provided to a mold cavity surface 1 having a projected curved surface under tension in a detachable manner by applying tension to the metal thin plate (2) in the direction (T) for providing the metal plate under tension and, thereafter, blasting treatment is applied to the surface finished as the mirror surface of each cluster of the metal thin plate to form a fine uneven gradation pattern.
