PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person supervisory system that can supervise people without missing at a reduced cost.;SOLUTION: The person supervisory system, that transmits, stores, retrieves a video image of a scene in which a person is photographed and outputs a video image providing an optimum view of the person, is provided with a person extract means (1) or more that incorporates an image pickup function, an intermediate server means (2) having a function of processing an image provided by the person extract means and selecting an optimum person scene, and a server means (3) that processes the image provided by the intermediate server means and provides a sophisticated function taking much processing time such as retrieval tagging and a user interface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
