PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for determining a tension of a crawler of an earth-moving machine having a front-part catenary part and a rear-part catenary part.;SOLUTION: This method and device comprise a step of determining a moving direction in the earth-moving machine, a step of finding a numerical value of the tension of the front-part catenary part by responding to the determination that the moving direction of the earth-moving direction is the advancing direction, and a step of finding the numerical value of the tension of the rear-part catenary part by responding to the determination that the moving direction of the earth-moving direction is the retreating direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
