PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the moisture percentage of warp yarns to a target moisture percentage prior to sizing for the warp yarns in a warp sizing machine for carrying out the sizing of the warp yarns after applying water to the sheet- shaped warp yarns.;SOLUTION: This method for controlling the moisture percentage of warp yarns 2 prior to the sizing in a warp sizing machine 1 comprises installing a driving device 4 between a wetting device 3 and a sizing device 5, hot-drying the warp yarns 2 to which water is applied with the drying device 4, detecting the moisture percentage of the warp yarns 2 after drying of the warp yarns 2 and prior to the sizing thereof, adjusting at least either one of the water pickup with the wetting device 3 and drying capacity of the drying device 4 based on the detected moisture percentage and controlling the moisture percentage to the target moisture percentage in the warp sizing machine 1 equipped with the wetting device 3 for absorbing water 7 on the sheet-shaped warp yarns 2 and then squeezing the warp yarns 2 and the sizing device 5 for subsequently carrying out the sizing of the sheet-shaped warp yarns 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
