PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work scaffold capable of being installed by simple work when performing overhanging construction of a steel girder and to provided a method for overhanging and constructing the steel girder efficiently using the work scaffold capable of being installed simply.;SOLUTION: A horizontal beam 11 orthogonal to an axial line of the steel girder whose tip is supported so as to overhang is supported in the vicinity of the tip on the steel girder 2. A floor framing 13 for work is supported on the lower side of the steel girder 2 through a suspended support member 12 from both ends of the horizontal beam. The floor framing 13 for work overhangs on the tip side of the steel girder and tends to turn forward, but a lower side contact part 14 provided on the rear is brought into contact with the lower side of the steel girder to fix and support the floor framing for work substantially horizontally. This work scaffold 1 is installed by hoisting the horizontal beam and the floor framing for work integrally by a crane, fixing the horizontal beam on the upper face of the steel girder while the tip side of the floor framing 13 for work is slightly raised and inclined, and then lowering the tip of the floor framing for work to touch the lower side contact part 14 on the lower side of the steel girder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
