PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature-raising apparatus for an entrained-bed coal gasification oven which stabilizes the flame of a temperature-raising burner, maintains a good burning state without generating an unburned residue, and enables the total start-up time to be shortened.;SOLUTION: This temperature-raising apparatus has a temperature-raising burner which is installed in a slag cooling chamber and comprises a tubular oxygen-containing-gas supply nozzle and a tubular fuel nozzle 40 having a specified length and positioned near the central portion. The oxygen- containing-gas supply nozzle comprises a tubular primary nozzle 58 formed so as to surround the fuel nozzle 40 and at least one secondary nozzle 59 formed so as to surround the primary nozzle 58. The sectional area a2 of the flow channel of the secondary nozzle is set at 2.3-9 times that a1 of the flow channel of the primary nozzle 58. In the lines for supplying an oxygen-containing gas 31 to the primary and secondary nozzles 58, 59, flow rate adjustment mechanisms 56, 57 are installed, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
