PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the accuracy of automatically measuring the distribution quantity of washed and soaked rice in a vessel such as a rice cooker. ;SOLUTION: In a rice distribution device, a protrusion piece 22 which is horizontally jutted out to the center of a slide shutter 17, is provided in the opening 21 of the slide shutter 17 for the lower opening 15a of a measure arranged at the lower part of a rice soaking tank. First, the soaked rice is caused to drop into the measure from the rice soaking tank, then the slide shutter 17 is slided to match the lower opening with the opening, so that most of the soaked rice falls into a vessel below. Further, some quantity of the soaked rice is left on the protrusion piece 22, then the remaining quality of the soaked rice on the protrusion piece is pushed with the edge part of the lower opening by sliding the slide shutter 17 intermittently, so that the soaked rice is caused to drop little by little into the vessel from the opening. When a specified weight of the soaked rice is accumulated in the vessel, a signal is connected to a controller from a weighing gauge and the shutter 17 is closed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
